Making Stuff: Mark Reiter on Making Records

Making Stuff: Mark Reiter on Making Records, His Ska-Punk Band, and What's So Great About Vinyl
Making Stuff

On this episode of Making Stuff, vinyl manufacturing executive Mark Reiter digs into what it takes to make a record, why he thinks vinyl is so hot right now, and what two albums he bought first (spoiler alert: one might have been from Kiss).

Reiter is chief operating officer at Metallica-owned Furnace Record Pressing in Alexandria, Virginia. He’s also a recording engineer and member of ska-punk outfit Daycare Swindlers.
